He not only gave a tour of the castle on the exterior, but also gave the history in a story type setting. I had a great experience. The castle is something out of a storybook, it’s a must see. If you get to request a guide, definitely ask for Steve!”

“The bike ride is easy and there is not a guide for the biking portion. You ride to the base of the mountain lock up your bikes and continue up to the castle by bus, you do have to buy a ticket. The castle is guided. A easy pleasant walk back to the bikes. We were allowed to keep the bikes for our own use until 4pm. We started at 9AM, and the castle tickets provided with the bikes were for 11:05. Enough time for the ride and exploring before the castle entrance, and time to explore Fussen area after.”

“We had a nice tour with European Castles Tours. Our morning began promptly with our guide, Paul, meeting us at our hotel. The day was well planned and we had plenty of time to stop for photos, shop, and grab a snack or meal. In fact, the tour could have easily been compressed by 45 minutes to an 1 hour without have any impact. We really enjoyed the experience, it was great to see so much of the Fuessen and Oberammergau area in such a short time. A nice experience and we would recommend European Castles Tours again.”
